Founded by Jimmy Joliet, the same owner behind Barter Post Furniture and Mattress Store, which grew to over 40,000 social media fans, this business was built on one simple idea: take care of people first, and the business will follow.

Back in 2010–2011, when tornadoes devastated communities across Northeast Alabama, Barter Post stepped in to help families rebuild — offering furniture at near cost, organizing support efforts, and helping people get back on their feet.

Over the years, that commitment continued through:

Organizing fundraisers and community support events
Sponsoring local schools, teams, and youth programs

One of the most recognized moments came after the Fred’s store shooting in Rainsville, when Jimmy helped organize updates, fundraising, and support efforts for victims Josh Nance and Matt Whitt.
